![]() While this capacity and starting ammo loadout are both very small, considering the L96A1's immense power and slow fire rate, the L96A1 won't burn through ammo very quickly at all, and players that can hit their shots will be able to get very good mileage out of this startin gammo loadout. Users of the L96A1 will spawn in with a twenty round starting ammo loadout. The L96A1 is tied with the PSG1 for the smallest magazine capacity in its class, holding just five rounds per magazine. The L96A1 has the slowest reload speed among all sniper rfiles, and it is a slow reload overall, but all sniper rifles in Black Ops multiplayer have poor reload speeds, so the L96A1 isn't very out of character in that regard. In either case, the L96A1 can perform a Reload Cancel in 2.45 seconds. The L96A1's reload animation is 3.3 seconds long, or 3.5 seconds long if the magazine is empty. In conjunction with the L96A1's very slow rate of fire, this makes the weapon particularly ineffective at close quarters combat, despite the power. The L96A1 has a lethargic aim down sight time of 400 milliseconds, and very low hip-fire accuracy. The L96A1 allows users to move at 95% of the base movement speed, and strafe at 40% of the base movement speed. The L96A1's handling characteristics are poor. ![]() It has the usual idle sway statistics of other sniper rifles, except that the L96A1 has 50% more idle sway than the other sniper rifles, meaning that idle sway will be more prominent on this sniper rifle specifically. What really hurts the L96A1's accuracy relative to other sniper rifles is its idle sway. The very slow fire rate means that the recoil profile, which is abysmal, isn't much of a concern. Not only does the L96A1 kick up tremendously, but it takes a long time for the user's aim to re-center. The L96A1 also is tied with the Dragunov for the slowest centerspeed of all sniper rifles, at just 500. The L96A1 has so much recoil per shot that the user's aim will be completely removed from where the user was aiming at as soon as the recoil is felt. The L96A1 has a standard scope with clean crosshair, but the L96A1 has the largest recoil of all sniper rifles, with recoil values varying between 80 and 100 upwards, as well as 50 to 55 to the right. The L96A1's accuracy is another weakness, being the lowest among sniper rifles. The L96A1 heavily punishes users for missing shots. The L96A1 fires at a paltry 50 RPM, less than one shot per second. The L96A1 is the only bolt-action sniper rifle in Black Ops multiplayer, meaning it has by far the lowest fire rate of all sniper rifles, and that the bolt must be cycled before the next shot can be fired. The L96A1's biggest weakness as a sniper rifle is its fire rate. ![]() Because of all sniper rifles possessing the raw power necessary to get a one shot kill, even when suppressed, the L96A1's power advantage is absent in Hardcore. The L96A1 is a one shot kill to anywhere on the body in Hardcore game types, like other sniper rifles. An un-suppressed L96A1 shot that hits the head or neck, like other sniper rifles, will deal an enormous 140 damage, meaning that the L96A1 has the potential to even get one shot kills through walls if the user strikes the head or neck, so long as at least 71% of the bullet damage is retained when shooting through the obstacle. The L96A1 also has high penetration power, meaning the L96A1 will retain most of its damage when shooting through surfaces. This power is the L96A1's biggest strength as a sniper rifle, giving users the most options for scoring one shot kills. ![]() The damage multiplier the L96A1 has on the biceps is unique among sniper rifles in Black Ops Multiplayer. This means that the L96A1 will be a one shot kill to almost any part of the enemy's body that is above the waist. Where the L96A1 differs from the other sniper rifles is that the L96A1 also gets a 50% damage boost to the lower torso and the biceps. The L96A1 also does 50% more damage if a bullet hits the upper torso, like other sniper rifles. This severe damage increase ensures a one shot kill, even when the L96A1 is suppressed. Like all other sniper rifles, the L96A1 deals double the damage on all headshots and neck shots. The L96A1, like all other sniper rifles, does seventy damage per bullet at all ranges. The L96A1 has the largest one-shot kill area of all sniper rifles in Black Ops multiplayer. L96A1_upgraded_zm ( L115 Isolator) Multiplayer
