He decided to come back to his hometown of Houston, TX to complete his fellowship training in Infectious Diseases at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Klingen completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. Following this, he attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso – the Paul L. He completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Mississippi College. Joseph (“J.T.”) Klingen is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He enjoys spending time with his wife, skiing, traveling, and visiting family in Canada and Peru Dr. His clinical interests include general infectious disease, tropical and travel medicine, antimicrobial stewardship, and medical missions with trips to Uganda, Peru, and Guatemala. Schilling completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Methodist Dallas Hospital and then completed his Infectious Disease Fellowship at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He attended Texas A&M University and enjoys cheering on the Aggies during the college football and basketball season. Matthew Schilling is a Board Certified Physician in Internal Medicine, Board certified in Tropical and Travel Medicine and Board Certified in Infectious Diseases. Vohra is Board Certified in Infectious Diseases.ĭr. His clinical interests include Antibiotic IV Infusion Therapy, MRSA infections, HIV, and Travel Medicine. Vohra completed his residency and fellowship training at the University of Texas Medical branch at Galveston. Despite the pleas of his friends and family, he went on to Texas A&M for medical school (he still claimed to bleed blunt orange, however). Rahat Vohra graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. He enjoys spending time with his wife, and playing sports, including basketball and soccer.ĭr. While at Texas Tech University he played an active role as a member of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee. Following graduation from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed a residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship of Infectious Disease at Texas Tech University. He completed his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University. Timothy Chen is a board certified physician in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. His clinical interests include Antibiotic IV Infusion Therapy, MRSA Infections, Multi-Drug Resistant Organisms, and Travel Medicine.ĭr. Desai enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, playing guitar, flying, and outdoor sports activities. Locally, he continues to give lectures and educate new students & pharmacists in the community as well as, conduct clinical trials for the latest cutting edge antimicrobial medications. Desai has published articles in prestigious journals such as the American Journal of Medical Sciences and Infectious Diseases in Clinical Practice. There, he trained doctors to become an Infectious Disease specialist and was involved in cutting edge research, such as Dysphagia in HIV. He went on to become the Associate Program Director in the Division of Infectious Disease at Texas Tech University and played an integral role in developing the Infectious Disease Fellowship training program. Desai attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and then completed his medical training at the New York Medical College in New York. Vipul Desai is board certified physician in Infectious Diseases. He enjoys spending time with his children, boating and traveling.ĭr. His clinical interests include Skin and Soft tissue infectious, Staphylococcus Aureus bacteria particularly MRSA, and Travel Medicine. Palau has been in practice in Houston since 1997 and is board certified in Infectious Diseases. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Robert Packer Hospital/Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, Pennsylvania and then completed his fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Alton Oschner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana.
